First Quarter:

Second Quarter:

  • Development of storytelling and narrative skills.
  • Understanding and use of “how” and “why” questions.
  • Introduction to phonemic awareness and sound recognition.

Third Quarter:

  • Enhanced conversational skills, including turn-taking.
  • Basic writing skills: tracing and writing letters.
  • Recognition and production of rhyming words.

Fourth Quarter:

  • Use of descriptive language in communication.
  • Introduction to simple reading skills and sight words.
  • Developing an understanding of basic grammar rules.
